The smell of middle eastern food will fill your kitchen with sweet spices. Curry powder is a concoction of seasonings like turmeric, ginger, cumin, and black pepper. Herbs and spices have non-inflammatory properties—enjoy them!
Melt the butter or ghee in a large skillet, over medium-high heat. Brown the ground beef breaking it apart as it cooks. Right before it's completely brown, add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Add the curry powder and the other spices and continue to sauté.
After 3 to 4 minutes add the potatoes, peas, and broth. Turn down the heat, add the lid, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Once the potatoes are done, you're ready to serve!
Note: I used a white sweet potato for this dish. It can also be served with rice or cauliflower rice.
