It amazed me that I had such a great turnout of people who came to support me and to purchase my very first cookbook! I had ordered 100 books for the night thinking that I’d have a lot left over—not the case. The very next day, as I was bringing breakfast burritos to my husband (I thought this was the least I could do to thank him for all the help at the party), 5 others in the office wanted a book too, so this SOLD ME OUT!
At the party, I had a line of friends wanting me to sign their book. I did not expect this—flattering to say the least! I thought I’d be walking around visiting everyone, saying hi, and having a few appetizers Sarah (amazing daughter-in-law) and I worked so hard making for the evening. Nope! I ended being stationed at one table when one group came to me after another to sign. I didn’t get to eat because many wanted me sign their book and chat, which was fun!
I realized later that friends showed up that I didn’t even get to see! Some wanted to chat with me but I was signing books and visiting with others, some had to leave without me getting to say hello.
About a week or so later, an amazing thing happened. A few friends sent me a text and photo of the recipes they were creating out of the book. So fun to see—here are a few!
I love seeing friends having fun in the kitchen showing their creations in the book!
