Lions Maine Mushroom

Lion’s mane mushrooms are fungi which people have eaten and used as natural remedies in Asia since ancient times. There are few or no risks and side effects associated with lion’s mane mushrooms.

Extract from lion’s mane show promise as a treatment of MS. However, more studies are needed. Current evidence is largely based on animal studies. The fungi have also shown potential in research for neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, however, more human-based evidence is also needed.

Other possible remedies to help for MS include echinacea, valerian root, and cannabis.

I’ve got some mushrooms in a few recipes in my cookbook – Nourish Your Way to Heath.

Thanks for reading!

  1. 😊🍄I’ve just discovered the benefits of mushrooms in my diet for MS, so powerful in nature and something we’ve not put too much thought into in the western diet in recent times. I’m pleased to see this is part of your findings and book too! Thank you!💜

    1. You’re so welcome. Yes! Mushrooms are amazing. I also add a blend of wild mushroom powder to my smoothies (Another idea is add them to your coffee—you really can’t taste it this way). Thanks for your sweet comment!
