Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Easy to make! Enjoy your good fats with this veggie. Asparagus contains potassium, an important nutrient for keeping your heart, bones, kidneys and nerves functioning and healthy. You may be surprised to learn that this stalky vegetable also consists of a compound called asparaptine, which may help improve blood flow, in turn lowering blood pressure.

Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Rinse the asparagus and cut off the ends of the stalks. Divide into 5 to 7 bundles depending on the thickness of the asparagus.

Tightly wrap with a single strip of bacon and place on the sheet. Repeat until all the asparagus is wrapped. Brush melted ghee or butter on the asparagus so it doesn't dry out while baking.

Bake for 8 minutes, turn each bundle over and cook for another 8 minutes. Cook until the asparagus is tender and the bacon is cooked to your liking.
